Challenges

Hays Travel required a promotional advert for their foreign currency app that clearly communicated ease of use, trust, and value, while working within a streamlined budget and without relying on actors or presenters.

The content also needed to feel consistent with Hays Travel’s existing advertising, maintaining a recognisable brand style and tone, all while being delivered on a tight turnaround.

Solutions

To meet the brief, recent Hays Travel adverts were reviewed to ensure the visual style, pacing, and messaging remained on-brand.

The video was built around close-up, detail-driven shots to visually infer a story, guiding the audience through the app experience without the need for people on screen.

Purposeful composition and controlled movement allowed the app’s functionality to take centre stage, creating a polished, cinematic result while keeping production efficient.

A clear understanding of the brief enabled a fast and effective turnaround from filming to final delivery.

Results

The client praised the team’s clear understanding of their marketing needs, the speed and quality of delivery, and the ease of communication throughout the project.

The final video was described as “exactly what we wanted” and has already delivered positive results, including over 282,000 views on YouTube, strong cost-per-acquisition performance, and Hays Travel’s best-performing forex post on Facebook with the lowest cost per click of the year.

The client also reported a significant year-on-year increase in Click & Collect sales, attributing this in part to the clearer messaging and increased reach achieved by the video.
