In this way, we hand pick the right mix of specialists for your project and, most importantly, you don’t have to pay towards the cost of maintaining a broad standing staff, when their skills may never be used on your project. You only pay for specialist input when you need it.


Dave Hughes

Managing Director

With more than 32 years in the industry, Dave is still willing to learn. His enthusiasm is as rich today as it was when he started. Each day brings a different challenge and that's why he feels his job is so rewarding. He is totally customer focused and aims to always deliver to an exceptional standard.


Sue Hughes

Business Development

Sue has over 29 years experience in management and finance. As a qualified and experienced business and social enterprise adviser, she has managed an operation offering business advice and mentoring for the last 10 years . She joins HP full-time and is a welcome member to the team.


Glenn Hughes

Project Manager

Glenn has 10 years’ experience within the AV industry. He realised early on that his destiny lay with the family business and joined HP in 2009. Glenn has a creative flare and has recently been promoted to Project Manager to look after the events side of the company. Glenn is an integral part of the HP team.


Sarah Marsh

Events Co-ordinator

Sarah joins the HP Team as Event Co-ordinator dealing with event logistics and client liaison. Her experience is in Business Development, Marketing and Customer Service. Sarah will be working both on site and in the office and her main focus is keeping our customers happy and informed.


Matt Mawdsley

Freelance Lighting Designer

As Freelance Lighting Designer for Hughes Productions, Matt has over 16 years of live event experience. Originally from a theatre background, Matt now regularly designs and operates lighting for large scale sporting events, conferences and awards shows, and various TV broadcasts.


Mervyn Evans

Sound Engineer

When it comes to audio aspects of show production, Mervyn is the man. With 28 years’ experience in corporate events around the world, his expertise is exactly what's needed for a trouble free production. With a thorough foundation, Mervyn has the ability to pull together the whole technical team.


Tom Derham

Freelance Sound & Media

As a Freelance Sound Engineer and Technical problem solver with nearly 10 years experience, Tom thrives on trying to solve 'THE IMPOSSIBLE' He is a real asset both onsite and in the office and is always willing to help at every opportunity. Tom used his creativity and has recently updated our website.


Steve Pickering

Cameraman/Editor/Web/Streaming

Steve has over 25 years’ experience of broadcast video production, corporate and live events worldwide, Steve has a forward-looking technical and creative approach. All projects are undertaken with a great team-player attitude and an ability to simplify the production and keep our clients happy.


Jeni Hudson

Freelance Showcaller/Prompter

With over 25 years’ experience within the events industry covering corporate and live broadcast, Jennifer has a wealth of knowledge to bring to any production. With skills in show calling and event management to teleprompting and graphics, Jeni has become known as a ‘safe pair of hands’.


Clin Burley

Cameraman/Editor

As Cameraman/Editor for Hughes Productions, Clin has over 26 years in live events. Originally from a photography background, Clin is extremely conscientious and always ready to go that extra mile. Whether it's corporate VT or multi-camera shoot Clin's knowledge and experience is always welcome.
